A part of our philosophy is understanding that the fundamentals of reading are necessary for long-term success as a reader. As a result, we believe that phonological awareness is a part of that foundation. Phonological awareness is the awareness of and the ability to work with sounds in spoken language. Phonics sets the stage for decoding, blending, and word reading. Phonological awareness is necessary for students to be good and strong readers. Grades PreK-3rd grade students are learning how to read. By grade 4, students are expected to read to learn.

Embark on personalized Chinese tutoring designed to meet your specific needs. Our mission is to help build fundamental skills for emergent bilingualism. We provide customizable sessions to ensure students gain the relevant skills for their language-learning journey. We practice language instruction by participating in the instructor. Students aren't graded. However, they are expected to follow a rubric that displays clear instructions and guidelines that will help foster the individual's growth. The art of Chinese writing is also studied. 

Literacy boot camp allows your child to work with peers their age on project-based learning activities. They will have the opportunity to join an interactive book club where they will build on their metacognitive skills as readers by thinking about what they are reading and sharing their thoughts in real-time. The three hours are filled with intense yet interactive activities to build and foster a relationship with literacy.
